I have started a map of Los Angeles Architecture with the help of some good friends. I hope this wil become a useful community resource which makes finding and studying Los Angeles’ built heritage much easier. This is an an ongoing project with more buildings and additional information added on a continual basis. As you can see on the map, the vast majority of buildings thus far located are clustered in a wide swath roughly paralleling the the Santa Monica Freeway. I am certain that there are beautiful buildings, landscapes, parks and sculptures worth seeing in Torrance, Oxnard, Fontana and Compton; I just don’t know about them yet.
Please send all suggestions to Miss Bellatrix Rigel, Chief of Cartographic Records at bellatrix@maison-orion.com.
